Policies
What a practice agreed to — the money part, in the company’s own terms.
The company published three policy pages: privacy, terms and the membership and cancellation policy. All three were archived. This page carries the parts that describe money and commitments, in the company’s own words, and points at the rest.
Membership and cancellation
Doctors paid one of three ways. Only credit cards were accepted; the policy explicitly ruled out debit and ATM cards.
- Annual — $2,500. Two months free and no activation fee. Non-refundable except as set out in the policy.
- Monthly — $250 plus a $250 activation fee, which was applied to the second monthly payment.
- Promotional trial — two months free. It converted to the annual membership on confirmation of one new patient booked during the trial.
Renewal
Membership renewed automatically so that practitioners did not miss a day of benefits. Annual members had to give 45 days notice before a charge to stop it; monthly members had to give 15 days.
Cancelling
Within the first 15 days of an annual membership, a practice could terminate for any reason without an early termination fee — unless an appointment had already been confirmed through the platform. After that, fees incurred and the applicable early termination fee still applied, and there was no refund once a patient appointment had been confirmed.
Monthly members cancelled in writing by the 15th of the month, with no cancellation fee and no contract. The activation fee was non-refundable unless the service was cancelled within 3 days of activation.
Written notice went to DrAvailable.com, 120 Wood Ave. South Suite 604, Iselin, NJ 08830.
Privacy and terms
The privacy policy opened by asking readers to read it carefully, and described how information is collected, used and secured. The terms opened with the sentence that matters most for a medical directory:
“DrAvailable.com does not provide medical advice and, as such, no doctor-patient relationship is formed with DrAvailable.com by your use of the website.”
Both documents were archived in full. They are long, they were written for the company’s own jurisdiction and era, and reproducing them here would add pages of legal text to a site whose purpose is to show what the service was. They are preserved in _tools/archive/original-pages/ instead.
The terms also carried the emergency instruction the footer repeated everywhere: if you are experiencing a medical emergency, call your doctor or 911 immediately.
