Where every word and image came from, and what was deliberately left out.
This is an independent rebuild of the DrAvailable website. The original at dravailable.com is gone: the domain is parked and serves a placeholder. Everything here was recovered from the Internet Archive, and the design is anchored to the company’s own archived stylesheet.
The domain is parked. dravailable.com returns a Hostinger parking page. There is no live service, no directory and no booking behind any link on this site.
Where each part came from
- The service description — the archived About page: “Our name is our mission. DrAvailable.com is committed to delivering immediate access to doctors…”, and the “Instant Access to” list.
- The process — the About page’s “HOW DrAvailable.com WORKS” section, and the FAQ.
- The FAQ — six questions and answers, reproduced verbatim.
- Doctor membership, pricing and cancellation — the archived Membership page in full.
- The 74 specialties — the specialty drop-down in the archived search form.
- The address, phones and inboxes — the archived Contact page and footer.
- Dr. Muhammad Mirza — the archived About page, founder section and quote.
- The colours — the site’s own css/style.css: coral #E4674E, body text #545454, and the logo red #D81818.
- The typeface — Roboto, declared in that same stylesheet. Roboto is open source, so the original face is used here rather than substituted.
- The photographs, the logo and the quote mark — the site’s own images/ files, recovered from the archive. Copies are in _tools/archive/original-assets/.
What was lost, and what was left out on purpose
- The search itself. The directory, the calendars and the booking flow were a database on the company’s server. Nothing behind the form was ever archived, so the form on the home page leads to a page that explains it rather than pretending to search.
- The account system. The original navigation had “Sign in” and separate patient and practice sign-up routes. Those pages were never captured; the routes are represented here by the patients and doctors pages.
- The insurance list. A drop-down of roughly a thousand plan names. It is described, not reproduced.
- Theme demo content. The marketing site was built on a bought theme, and the 2014 capture still carried its placeholders: lorem-ipsum service blurbs, a “buy this design” section, portfolio tiles, a $90 / $190 / $390 / $590 price table, a “80,132 verified doctors” line and an “14 awards won” counter. None of that is reproduced here: the pricing on this site comes from the company’s membership policy, not the theme, and no unverifiable count appears anywhere.
- Video. The company published none. The only video references in the archived HTML are commented-out social icons.
Photography
Every photograph on this site is one the company itself published, recovered from the archive. No stock photography was added. The originals are in _tools/archive/original-assets/.
- hero-1.jpg, hero-2.jpg, hero-3.jpg — the three slider backgrounds, with the company’s own headlines.
- doctors-team.jpg, doctor-portrait.jpg — the two 1600×887 photographs from the site.
- patient-visit.jpg, handshake.jpg, office.jpg — the 768×498 photographs from the services and contact sections.
- band.jpg — the parallax band image.
- article-arthritis.jpg, article-eye.jpg — illustrations used on the company’s blog.
- logo.png, logo-light.png, quote.png, icon-phone.png, icon-email.png — the company’s own marks and icons.
Deviations, stated plainly
- The layout is a redesign. The original was a Bootstrap theme with a parallax slider and a full-bleed photo behind the search. The colours, the typeface, the logo and the photographs are the company’s; the arrangement is this rebuild’s.
- Some copy is a summary. Where a page was never archived, the words are this rebuild’s. The company’s own sentences are in quotation marks or attributed.
- The forms do nothing. No server, no validation beyond the browser.
- No analytics, no external requests on load. The original loaded Google Analytics and its fonts from the network; this rebuild serves everything, Roboto included, from this folder.
- The company is no longer trading. Nothing here is a live medical service, and nothing here is medical advice.
